California Ranch, Mid Century Modern Birdhouse
A contemporary interpretation of a Mid Century California Ranch design replicated by many different architects because of its popularity with its low pitched roofline and its pronounced horizontality. Clifford May is accredited with the design in 1931 as an opposition to the Colonial and Mediterranean styles which were popular at the time.
This birdhouse’s “carport” serves the entry into the nesting area which provides privacy. The living area is designed with vents to provide air to the interior area and to give visibility to the outside of this nesting box.
Materials: solid pine, glue, nails, water based exterior latex paint, clear polyurethane
Dimensions: 21.25” x 8.75” x 7.75”
Colors: Clear pine, black, blue, red
Additional FAQS
Each piece is individually created, no two are exactly alike. There may be small variations but will not affect the overall appearance.
Colors in images are displayed as accurately as possible to the actual product. All monitors display colors differently.
