An iconic feature of mid century architecture. The Butterfly effect was first conceived by Le Corbusier in the thirties for a wealthy art collector. Marcel Breuer and Richard Meier later adopted it into their projects. This design features two separate entries on opposite sides and an interior wall for separation and privacy.
The butterfly roof in this design is not only for aesthetics but also has a functional role, it protects the box under it from the heat of the the sun in harsh climates.
